Deutsch-Lab is a parent-led, community-supported after-school program designed for middle school students with prior German experience - such as alumni of Albert Einstein Academies' immersion program. We offer sessions focused on strengthening language skills and working toward recognized proficiency goals like the AP German Exam and the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD).

Classes take place after school on the Pacific Beach Middle School campus, a public school in San Diego, CA, and emphasize language development in a structured, supportive, and fun environment. While not school-sponsored, Deutsch-Lab is an initiative committed to measurable progress, long-term learning, and fostering a strong pathway for bilingual success.

I started off in Munich, and then moved to Zurich, where I completed my PhD in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Zurich, and then to San Diego in 2025. During my studies, I earned a teaching certification and taught several university-level courses, but some of my favorite teaching experiences came earlier, as a member of a youth group, where I organized weekly meetings, events, and summer camps back in Munich.
