Deutsch-Lab is a parent-led, community-supported after-school program designed for middle school students with prior German experience - such as alumni of Albert Einstein Academies' immersion program. We offer sessions focused on strengthening language skills and working toward recognized proficiency goals like the AP German Exam and the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD).
Classes take place after school on the Pacific Beach Middle School campus, a public school in San Diego, CA, and emphasize language development in a structured, supportive, and fun environment. While not school-sponsored, Deutsch-Lab is an initiative committed to measurable progress, long-term learning, and fostering a strong pathway for bilingual success.
I am a native of Germany and studied and worked for several years in Paris, France before moving to San Diego in 2011. I have taught students of all ages and have been preparing students for the DSD I exam since 2016.
Since 2023, I have served as Principal of our GASA campus in La Jolla and am now also overseeing our new El Cajon campus. In addition, I teach German at Grossmont College.
"I am excited to begin this school year with you and your children, and I look forward to working together to build a vibrant and supportive German program."
We have partnered with the German Pacific School of San Diego (GPSSD), a 501(c)(3) non-profit to help manage student registration, payment and other administrative functions.Β Β
